People always talking about the Warriors announcers but I am watching this Mavs vs Lakers game and anytime Bron made a shot they freaked out and called him the king. I do not care even though I preferred the Mavs to win. If you hate one teams announcers can’t you switch to the other teams stream?
Idk that was my situation. What is the reason it matters? None of these guys are really annoying me. They alls ound pretty biased towards the team they are working for which makes sense.
I think our commentators are bad but it’s multiplied by the amount of deranged hate people have for the warriors as a whole
I don’t know how the Gobert choking incident was “multiplied by the amount of deranged hate people have for the warriors”, the announcers were objectively awful
Another typical delusional Warriors fan. Sometimes you just gotta step back and let them continue eating crayons.
Going on to prove my point. Didn’t say they were right in the instance but a lot of hate for the warriors cause people to nitpick reasons to hate on the announcers
I don’t understand, what’s wrong with eating crayons?
Those nerds ruined Chet game winner lol
There’s a difference between rooting for the home team (basically every broadcast crew) and being such an insufferable homer that you believe your team can do no wrong and the away team is always wrong.
This sub bitches about so many things honestly. Most announcers are fine and not worth nearly the amount of discussion this sub gives them. The announcers people say are way too homerish actually aren’t.
Listen Nuggets broadcasters are definitely biased like a lot, but they call out plays and they are very knowledgeable of the game. One of the dudes was a ex player maybe that’s why. Some of the other teams broadcasters are downright atrocious like try to explain a play not just complain about a call
Hopefully you’ve learned something from these comments
The Lakers’ broadcasting team can’t afford to be biased, since half the opponent’s team consists of trade targets.
Because commentators are also expected to have an analysis of the play by play. Being biased would ruin analysis. i.e. quick to call on fouls that favors your team, quick to judge the mistake of the other team etc… it is to be expected that the team commentators would be biased (no one can remove biases) but it is their job to also look at the pov of the other team. This would provide a better commentary on why the team succeeded or failed in a specific play or the game itself. It would create a better experience on what you should watch out for your team to do better or watch how your team counteract the play of the opponent.
Leaving aside the whole sometimes my very legitimate, cool, legal and totally authorised video reproduction of the NBA’s copyrighted material is the away team’s broadcast thing; it makes homer fans even stupider and blindly one-sided which makes the basketball fan experience shitter for everyone.
Obviously I think my Hornets have the best broadcast team, but the way they handle it is great imo. They are clearly rooting for the Hornets, even call the “the good guys” lol, but will always celebrate good plays by both teams and never start bitching and whining when they’re down (looking at Scal who talked about the timing of the activation of the shot clock for like 5 minutes, even if it was wrong just do ur job)
There’s a difference between being a Homer and a complete idiot. There’s a line. If your player committed an obvious flagrant 2, you can maybe argue flagrant 1 vs 2 but don’t be an idiot and say he barely touched him and the other player flopped. It’s insulting to the fans.
And the worst I’ve ever heard was whoever boston had in the early 2000s. I think it was Tommy h. What a gasbag he was.
