He said he’s struggling to approach “females”…

All of a sudden my empathy’s on strike.

Wo-men. How hard is it to use the humanizing word?

Edit : my preshot was correct, in the end of the article, it’s reported that he sent unsolicited intimate pics and made fatphobic insults.

This sounds difficult for him. The number of crass jokes people feel compelled to make reminds me of what trans people have long had to suffer. When someone’s going through something unfamiliar to us, let’s not just reach for the cheapest shots but try to be a bit more compassionate.

The surgery might be expensive, but it will save a lot of money over the years with current fuel prices, as he can go drive a normal car instead of a massive truck. More Americans should do this, especially fElon and diaper Donny.

I manage to pee without a penis. He, pee nis. Could someone who has one explain why he can’t just sit on the toilet like we do and why it would cause incontinence?

But absolutely support the right of adults to modify their bodies however they want. For any reason or no reason. Hope he gets the result he’s looking for.

I would think it’s more for improving his ability to urinate cum. Like requiring people to put enough thinking power to it before calling him a perv for wanting an intimate life. Size is far from anything but this size would be very limiting.

Michael Phillips said online on Thursday that he needed the procedure to improve his ability to urinate, which is difficult for him given that he is reportedly 0.38in (0.97cm) long when fully erect. Otherwise, he said he must continue to wear diapers for adults with incontinence every day.

This is a compelling reason. Let’s help the guy out. Donated.

I’ve heard stories from ladies that made my eyes water. Guys they liked and decided to get physical with only to discover they were working with something roughly the size of their own clitoris. It really is an immediate dealbreaker much of the time, and you can’t blame them for wanting a functional sex life. Poor dudes really got worked by chance. I can’t even figure out how evolution has left this a possibility.

Evolution works by minimizing this kind of abnormality, but it never disappears. There’s just too much variance in how our DNA works. That’s a good thing, though, because the environment is not static. Without any variance, we would have died out a long long time ago. We need to adapt to survive in new environmental conditions.

It’s my understanding that it’s more of a last case scenario kind of thing, like, most guys don’t want to have surgery on their penis and it can also have complications too.

I would say it’s probably not worth it just because you will most likely have sensory loss and erectile dysfunction which for most would be worse than the problem its self. Theres more risks as well, but those alone sound like a nope from me.

I wonder if he’s tried pee funnels. They allow women to pee standing up. In fact, given how women all manage peeing I am surprised that his doctor says his only option is to wear diapers. Can he not sit and pee and make that work? Perhaps not. Inquiring minds want to know.

I don’t actually see it written anywhere that he is incontinent, as in he can’t control when he pees.

You might have thought this because the Guardian article says he must “wear diapers for adults with incontinence,” but that appears to be a descriptor of the diapers, not him.

In his GoFundMe he gets more specific:

I have a condition called Micropenis which causes me to be only 0.38 inches, which has made everyday tasks like using the restroom without making a mess is extremely difficult for me. Because of this, my doctor has advised that I must use pull ups unless I can pursue a medical procedure to help increase the size and improve my ability to urinate.

So it does sound like a physical issue getting the pee into the toilet, not general incontience.

This is actually a great example of how the majority of ‘gender affirming care’ is actually for a person who is already assigned at birth the gender they are affirming.

This male, who was assigned male at birth, is seeking gender affirming care to become… more male.

And women who get breast implants after receiving a double mastectomy are simply restoring their body back to what it was, neither affirming or changing but rather ‘restoring’ the appearance. The category of operations received is still called gender affirming.

Anything that is manipulating the body more in line with the perceived gender is called gender affirming care.

And it doesn’t even need to be surgeries. Men with low T receiving testosterone shots is a form of gender affirming care.

And yes, I read the article.

It’s still under the umbrella of gender affirming care, as are men getting breast reduction surgery or hair replacement. If you’re implying it needs to be for sex, then I don’t think you understand gender very well.
