In a statement respond to the suit, WIRED said, “We stand by this reporting, and plan to vigorously defend it against this baseless and ridiculous lawsuit. We look forward to continuing our coverage of MSG, and on billionaire James Dolan’s use of technology across his entertainment empire. It’s one part of our wider mission and the critical job of journalists, now more than ever: holding power to account.”
Sounds like it’s time for people to boycott anything and everything happening at MSG.

The owner James Dolan is an asshole with tons of money and nothing better to do.
Without knowing anything else about it, I suspected that something of this sort happened. People don’t jump on defamation lawsuits over published journalism without their egos being hurt in the process.
Why is MSG tracking people to begin with? It’s gross.
Because James Dolan is a paranoid power tripping dickhead. He had a parent who had taken their children to see the Rockettes thrown out because she worked for a law firm that was in litigation with MSG. She wasn’t even on the case but she got booted from the show regardless. The guy is a total chode, he makes some terrible music, if you want to laugh at him some of his stuff is on YouTube. He has a butt rock song about being friends with Harvey Weinstein and not knowing he was a monster.

I remember that case. She was identified via facial recognition too, from what I recall.
That’s right, she was. He has a knack of using that face recognition to ban people who criticize him too
“While the arena acknowledged keeping information on celebrities’ sexual orientations…” James Dolan, you do realize that this is still quite bad, right ?
AND this is a factual admission which protects Wired against defamation.
The same MSG that hosted a Nazi rally in the 30’s? Hmm.
Hosted another one recently
Taylor Swift wedding?
Streisand effect?
This lawsuit definitely took this story from “huh, that’s kind of weird” to “oh what msg did is totally fucked” for me
Ooh, naming names.
