One night I took acid and I realized I’d surrounded myself all my life with bad friends.
There is no meme. Whatever your life is like, I hope you’ll always have and protect your ability to leave.
Narcissistic abuse solidarity
I did shrooms once and got really tired so decided to make coffee. But I spilled some coffee grounds on floor and they formed a line and started walking away like ants.
Sorry about your old friends tho :/
Shrooms are kind of different animal. Fun stuff.
Thanks, I’ve made better friends since. I just grew up in a shitty place
One night when I took acid, I realized my cat has infinite fur and you can just keep petting deeper forever without running out, because the fur is a bottomless abyss of fluffiness.
Just saying, not every acid trip is revelatory.
However, most cats do not have infinite patience for me petting them!
Those that do, though. Love them forever!!!
It probably would have been better for me to learn to engage with the substance like that. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more. I think because of the muscle aches I would get from it I thought I should at least be learning something about myself in the process to justify the discomfort.
When it stopped being relevatory was when I got that proverbial “last trip” feeling, so now I just decided not to bother
I’m guilty. I’ve had a depressive friend who [subconsciously] consistently tried their hardest to misinterpret everything [I said] in the most offensive way possible, even if that was clearly contradictory. Which is to say: is not impossible to be “too sensitive” (for you’re own good), but this post is probably still accurate, most of the time.
Anyways, I hope you’re doing well @sad_detective_man@sopuli.xyz, or that your situation is at least improving.
Sheesh. I wonder if at my worst I’ve done that to people even after I had gotten free of that situation.
Thanks Azura. I’m still trying to make the best of it
I’m sure we all have.
My ex told me that it was my own problem when her shitty treatment of me triggered some of my trauma.
Yeah I just had one that neglected me into triggering flashbacks of childhood abuse. It’s a fun life sometimes.
There’s a small list of things where saying them is never right, and I’d count this as a member of said list.
You should meet some of the zoomies I’ve worked with. Some of them really do seem like they would cry to HR if you blasted them with a fire extinguisher while they were actively on fire.
Old man yells at cloud moment
Bro called them “zoomies”. Like he saw them at workies
We’re talking about having a melty over being told to put away their phone and do their job. Or just being 25 years old without a driver’s license. Or complaining about not having enough for their phone bill literal minutes before asking to go home early.
I know some people might take my comments personally, which if anything just proves my point, but interactions like these will make anyone pause before they judge the boomer for saying the next generation is too soft.

I’m not taking your comment personally, just pointing out that this is the same shit I heard like 20 years ago from boomers when I worked fast food/retail.
Your observation isn’t new or incisive, it’s the same tired boomer bullshit we’ve been hearing for decades. This is right up there with No OnE wAnTs To WoRk AnYmOrE, we can see through it like fucking glass.
“No one wants to work anymore” is a result wage stagnation. Living at home into your late 20’s is also a result of wage stagnation. Observing the stunted development of someone going through all that is leagues away from gramps calling kids a bunch of pussies for not working in a coal mine.
