If there’s one thing that Nuggets fans and Sixers fans can agree on, it’s that Embiid and Jokic have completely sonned AD for years now. That is always a bad night for him.

Embiid will definitely sell a foul or two per game, but people in here aren’t watching the games if they think the overwhelming majority of his free throws aren’t warranted. In most cases, his defender either let him catch the ball too deep and hacks him to prevent a layup, he seeks out the contact instead of avoiding it when going up, or he’s getting doubled/tripled and people are swiping at the ball as he’s brining it up.
Also, comparing his free throw attempts to Jokic’s doesn’t make sense, because they play a very different style of ball while in the paint. Jokic is a lot more finesse-based and he’s looking to put up floaters, push shots, short jumpers, or he’s looking to pass the ball. When Embiid gets the ball in the paint, he’s going up hard like 90% of the time. The finesse work that Embiid does is mostly from the top of the key or farther out, with the only exception really being his free throw line pull-up jumper.
This obviously sounds ridiculous, but jealousy is a motherfucker and if you don’t think the underpaid rookie cops working the 3am shift would make an example or take out their frustrations on the super rich guy that they wouldn’t do to another guy that’s similar to them in age/status, then I don’t even know what to say.
There’s nothing wrong with it in your early 20s. The only issue is when your mother continues to be “mommy” and these guys have no clue how to do laundry, cook, clean up their own mess, and do other real adult things.
If the parents are creating a failure to launch type of situation or if you stay there into your 30s or 40s, then it’s an issue. Staying home in your early 20s to save money and be more prepared for the world is a great move though.
Yup, the guy who’s a near lock to win defensive rookie of the year that fell into a perfect situation and has a massive spotlight on him from the other arrest is totally stealing some items from Target while paying for others. Makes total sense.
Way too many people are pissy they didn’t draft him and are praying for him to fail.
How the fuck is he this out of breath at a postgame press conference? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player this unable to speak during the on-court interviews they do immediately after the buzzer, let alone like 30-45 minutes later.
Yeah, nothing says accurate representation of the current state of the game and current logical opinions than quoting a 7 year old article as your source. Mind you, this is a game that is constantly changing.
I get what he’s trying to do, but this isn’t as much of a zinger as he thinks it is. If you’re going to go this route with a journalist and try to catch them, then it has to be at least somewhat recent. This is especially true with a factor like three point shooting, which is miles away from what the standard was back then.
You damn well know that people are in here complaining about gambling because it ruins the fan experience while also being in 5 different fantasy football leagues and screaming for one team to score, but not with 2 specific players and only in the first half.
Fantasy sports (and not even solely the ones people wager money on) did this well before bet gambling came to our mobile phones.
I feel like Geno Smith would have been a great answer to this question prior to last year. I honestly thought he was out of the league for at least 3-4 years before the camp battle was announced.
Well, Harden is almost certainly gone after this season if he’s still holding out for that full 4 year max deal.
You’d think these fuckers would realize that you want to be looking for coaches in the Holgren (Reid) coaching tree and completely ignoring anyone that came in under Belichick
People keep blaming Nike, but teams design their own jerseys. They have in-house design departments and/or hire actual design firms. All Nike does is make the jerseys and consult with the teams’ designers on what can and cannot be done with their colors/materials/frame templates.
Teams have just gotten really fucking lazy. They need to just go back to doing classis jersey throwbacks and call it a day.
We have not seen anything like this before. His movement for somebody his size and with his body type is absolutely nuts.
People were crazy hyped for Zion being that he was a super exciting player, but there literally has not been a prospect this good since Lebron.
I feel like the Clippers have gotten the current version of the James Harden experience. He will make some very poor plays and have bad numbers some nights, he’ll be kind of ok most of the time, then he’ll have a game or two every so often when he reminds of us that he’s still James Harden.
The issue is that 99% of the world realizes that the first two scenarios are what we get about 90% of the time now. James Harden is not in that 99%, which causes issues, because he could still be a GREAT pass-first PG if he just adapted his game to accommodate his physical limitations.
