I once saw a language selector with two Chinese flags for “Chinese (traditional)” and “Chinese (simplified)” and also, with the British and American flags, “English (traditional)” and “English (simplified)”. That got a good chuckle out of me.
English doesn’t “borrow” from other languages: it follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar and valuable vocabulary.

Simplified is good. It’s a language not a secret code. Idk why the UK is so damn proud of their vestigial U in “colour”.
