If they are intending on deporting undocumented people to other countries, who do they intend to hold at Gitmo? People they CAN’T deport? Like American Citizens?
For context, the average maximum security prison holds 800-1200. The largest, in Angola, LA, holds about 8300. So this new facility hold almost 4 times more than the largest prison, and many times more than the average. Gitmo currently has a capacity for about 300 people. Again, who do they intend on keeping there?
It should also be noted that a few years down the line, when they’ve finished rounding up the majority of their immigrant boogymen, what are they going to do with this giant federal death squad agency, and their giant detainment facilities? Just disband the predators, and tear down their prisons? Or will they just identify a new “enemy?”
