how is that a hot dog? thats a regular old vegan sausage
In English, “hot dog” can refer to both, the sausage in the bun and just the sausage, in case that’s confusing you.
I enjoy how that hotdog really doesn’t look edible, but it was created in 2014, so it’s anyone’s guess whether that’s a rubber prop or an actual state-of-the-art vegan hotdog from back then.
looks like a perfectly normal tofu sausage to me
From the color and shape it looks like it could be a Mini Wiener by Taifun. I couldn’t find any non-packaged images of it online, but here is an image of the longer version:

Hmm, I gotta admit, I haven’t really dabbled with the sausage alternatives, so I was not aware that the wieners still look similar to that. I was comparing it to the other sausage kinds, which look virtually identical to the original these days…
Hot dogs really don’t look edible in the first place tbh.
Becauae hot dogs look so edible?
There is a third option. That this is a regular hot dog.
Well, it is what it purports to be
It’s certainly not a pipe.
