I did this with an earth genasi chain warlock. He had a couple of pet rock familiars. Spells like mold earth, magic stone, and shape stone. He also had a rock of healing which could cause bludgeoning damage in addition to healing, but that was negated by the earth genasi resistance. So he would hit himself with a rock to heal.
Sic 'im, Petro!
The ears in these characters trigger me so much
You just had to point that out.
PG butthole
Honestly would be a fun character build with the right DM.
A cursed rock that talks to you and demands sacrifices. After being thrown returns to your inventory in 6 seconds (start of your next turn)
Could do fun things like player can cast spells through the rock like a familiar.

Stone Shape
You touch a stone object of Medium size or smaller or a section of stone no more than 5 feet in any dimension and form it into any shape you like. For example, you could shape a large rock into a weapon, statue, or coffer, or you could make a small passage through a wall that is 5 feet thick. You could also shape a stone door or its frame to seal the door shut. The object you create can have up to two hinges and a latch, but finer mechanical detail isn’t possible.
Latch is self explanatory, but trying to figure out what 1 hinge can’t do that 2 hinges can.
Hold a door straight in its frame. A door with just a single hinge would put a huge amount of torque on it, and start to sag as soon as it started to wear down (stone’s not great for moving parts).
I get that from a reality aspect, but not from a fantasy one
Leverage is leverage. Physics doesn’t look the the other way just because you control forces that can twist the very fabric of reality… Wait… Um.
My last pathfinder game I had a wizard with the Little Love dagger. I changed the flavor to be an automatic return on a crit instead of a leap. He got into a lot of trouble with it.

Is a solid choice.
Says it doesn’t work while being carried, but it’s got a 60 foot range, so I guess you could brain some critter with the pet rock by throwing it, then cast it to whack 'em a second time. Nobody’s prepared for the boomeranging pet rock.
Prince Ferdinand the Solid has gained us so much XP here on the Isle of Blind Orphans
lol, I did that in a campaign, I adopted a rock as a son, made it a mini figure, and used it as ranged weapon
I hope you spelled him to return, or else…

Much akin to the Magician’s Brick!
