You can’t humiliate someone that doesn’t have the capacity for humility. I think if he had even 10% humility of the average man, things wouldn’t be so bad.

Hassan may have been doomed from the very start, as MAGA supporters widely criticized his endorsement on the basis of his being Muslim. Hassan identifies as a Christian, claims to have “zero tolerance for extremists who pervert Islam into something evil,” and has touted his belief that “Israel is our strongest ally in the Middle East.” None of that seemed to matter Tuesday night.

LOL he lost because the GOP is so racist they thought he was a Muslim just because of his name.

It gets better. The candidate who won had dropped out to campaign for the candidate who came in 3rd place.

Literally zero useful polling done in this race. And they’re going into the general against a Dem incumbent during a blue wave year, so it hardly matters either way.

MAGA don’t actually pay attention, especially not to things that aren’t covered by the National Fox News broadcasts. It doesn’t matter that he only raised $1,800 for his run and did essentially no campaigning.

He won because “Thomas Smith” is a whiter name than “Amir Hassan” or “Al Lemmo”.

It’s because Fox News, CNN, and Twitter have all been overflowing with “Hasan said America deserved 9/11” talking points and CONSERVATIVES ARE ALL DUMB BOTS WHO HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ANY OF THE WORDS THEY HEAR MEAN

Even Trump is no match for Republican voters’ fear of a middle eastern looking guy with a muslimy sounding name.

The primary voters weren’t even attempting to make an informed choice, they never researched any candidate, they just voted for the whitest name. So they do note care to even research if the candidates had good policy, just whatever allows them to hate more.

He dropped out because he was the weak candidate. He actually threw his weight behind a third candidate and tried to get people to vote for them, because he didn’t want Hassan in office. The attack on Hassan was that he was a Trojan horse for the democrats, and that if he won he’d just keep the state Blue like it has been. Couple that with the name ‘Amir Hassan’ and you’ve got a recipe for riling up the inbreds to cast a vote against the one that looks different. Unfortunately, he dropped out after the deadline to have his name removed, and so he was still on the ballot. When you see Amir Hassan and Thomas J. Smith, and you hate anyone that isn’t white, you vote for good ol’ Tommy Boy.

He dropped out because he was the weak candidate.

How did he assess that, though? Especially when the candidate he told his supporters to vote for instead only got 16.4% of the vote compared to his own 50.4%.

Copium headline. The demented rapist shed all humility and shame well before 2016.

Which just leaves us to pretend, I guess.

Wouldn’t everything be so much better if we could just opt to vote for an empty seat in the first place?

I don’t want to not vote for anybody, I want to vote for nobody!
