It’s possible that israel did it but unlikely. There’s a whole list of reasons for these groups to attack Tower22. It is right on the border next to them and operating on their lands. Everyone and their mom saw these attacks coming.

The Houthi’s are openly firing at American warships.

The United States does not seek conflict in the Middle East or anywhere else in the world

    Narrator: It does.

To be clear, he isn’t striking any official forces of those regions, merely the non-state militant groups.

This isn’t Trump we’re talking about.

Also, Biden isn’t fighting the two nations officially as the millitant group responsible isn’t officially with either of them.

There are already civilian casualties so that’s entirely irrelevant.

If you hit civilians of a nation you attack the nation.

You’re right that the distinction has fallen through a bit since some of the targets appeared to be PMU sites which were officially recognized as state forces by Iraq in 2016.

I tried searching it and maybe it’s a bit early but when CNN reported on it they weren’t able to verify the number or nature of the casualties other than taking the word of Iraqi sources or officials who claim 16 dead and 25 wounded. One thing that doesn’t seem to be contested is that the means were precision guided projectiles and the targets, 85 in total, were either weapon stockpiles or militant headquarters although I admit it wouldn’t surprise me if the “militant headquarters” were just people’s homes. The USA claims they informed Iraq ahead of the strikes, which lasted a total of 30 minutes, but Iraq refutes this.

From my perspective it looks like the weapons being used were state supplied and kept inside populated areas along the border, and the USA response was to disarm them with minimal casualties, but I don’t want to make any statements with certainty because it’s all a matter of perspective.

        Yet.

Personally, I think the US should take the opportunity to hit the Shahed factories while they’re in the area.

That’s one approach, but in the past military experts have cautioned against it because Iran has large missiles pointed at Israel, and Israel has nuclear weapons.

        What does that even mean?

Iran backed resistance fighters attacked American troops in Iran’s backyard.

Answer: Get the fuck out of Iran’s backyard. Stop stirring the pot. Take the troops out of reach of the resistance fighters and apply those billions of wasted dollars to the betterment of American lives, not to the taking of non-American lives.

Why does Iran get to dictate what happens in its “backyard” when its “backyard” Is not in Iranian sovereign territory?

You know who said Americans could be there? The government of Jordan. The country in which they were killed. Why doesn’t Jordan get to decide who it allows in its own borders?

Also, how the fuck is Jordan in Iran’s backyard?

Sounds like world war posturing. Sounds like America being the world police.

Doesn’t sound like something America should be doing.

Edit: and to Sep-tuple down on that, when does an American drone bomb Russian attack forces?

That is something we should be doing.

Instead we are sending them money for Temu drones and telling them to rig frag grenades to them.

America’s policy of “bomb brown people” needs to END. And it is fucking disgusting that Democrats are currently advancing that agenda.

The USA is sending Abrams main battle tanks, Bradley AFVs, HIMARS systems, and F16s. Their hardware is killing Russians daily.

Carring water means delivering Iran’s message. Yours is word for word what they want.

It’s not Iran’s backyard. Resistance to what? Iran is in other countries practicing asymmetrical warfare and the first thing you do is cry when somebody shoots back.

lmao It’s not up to Iran. That’s like justifying Russia’s invasion of Ukraine by claiming it to be “their” sphere of influence. Calling other countries someone’s “backyard” is basically saying that those countries have to sovereignty.

Too many neocons on here think the US owns the world and should be able to do as it pleases. Also, IRAN BAD (which is a conclusion they arrived at independently and not because western media drilled it into their head, of course).

America should be able to assist its friends and allies, in this case Jordan.

If Iran interferes with our assistance, then by definition they are our adversaries.
