    I love this community.

At least once a week I’ll see a meme like this on here and download it to share with all my friends.

Then I realize literally nobody I know will get it, and I’m already here.

    Hi friends!

Something my mom taught me, perhaps not fully applicable here, but I don’t get to share it often:

      There once was a girl

with a curl on her forehead

when she was good she was good

but when she was bad she was horrid

        My mum’s version was:

        There was a little girl,
        Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
        When she was good,
        She was very very good,
But when she was bad, she was horrid!

I like it, but my mom died when I was young and I was her sole supporter (physically and emotionally) most of the time because my dad was a workaholic and my siblings had all left home (I was the youngest), so I have hangups about her and her stories and can’t accept alternatives as better.

My mom was a “professional storyteller” and so taught me lots of rhymes and limericks. Unfortunately, I’ve forgotten a lot of them. There was one about a crocodile; I absolutely loved it when she taught it to me and now you know everything I remember about it.

Yar is also a PC that rolled a nat 20 on a joke investigation check to see if the android was anatomically correct.

GM: “Oh yes. Data is also fully functional and programed in multiple techniques. A broad variety of pleasuring…”

Yar: “Oh! You jewel, that’s exactly what I hoped!” I grab data and pull him into the room.

GM: Due to their intoxication, the crew is unbothered by the sounds of destruction coming from Lt. Yar’s quarters. Data, you take four points of bludgeoning damage, two points of force damage and two points of piercing damage.

Ah, you see, that question is a prime opportunity to introduce Yar’s tragic backstory at the table for some high impact tone shift that explains why she opted to only let go with an emotionless android with no violence or hidden agendas.
