That can be a little cringe, but I do enjoy at least asking my students to like and subscribe at the end of a remote class.
Oh. And this semester I kept hitting ads mid lecture during in-person lessons (it’s hybrid) so I’ve promoted ublock origin several times as my “our sponsored by” segment.
“This lecture was made possible by… Vivaldi… uBlock Origin… and by Viewers Like You.”
What do you mean you get ads during in-person lessons? While showing a video to the class?
Yeah, e.g. recently we’re doing persuasion and ironically we look at ad messaging for examples. To keep things interesting, I ask the students to link me an ad and we break it down in real time. But first, we get an ad… to watch an ad. Lol
“Sup my young parsons. I too am so on-the-go that I drink my yogurt from a tube.”
(edit: Because nothing says “I’m forty-something” like a Homestar Runner reference, apparently)
Wait are pogs back in with the youths? Am I cool again?
Yes, but no (and you can still be cool)
Dictionary.com goes hard
Huh. I’ve seen the emote but never knew its history. What a rich tapestry the internet is.
FrankerZ when the walls fell
BTTV, his perms granted
Huh, it was always explained to me (by other gamers) as Player of Game Champion. Like mvp but for video games
Yep that’s what it means. If you call someone a pogchamp, that is what you’re saying, but the word itself comes from the emote
So the emote comes from a game of pogs but pog in chat still means player of game? Wack
Alf is back… In pog form.
