So we’ve gone up from 4th Amendment violations to the 5th Amendment. Soon it’ll be 6th, and the 13th is a little shaky.

And I am saying that without getting popular opposition, and at this Point aggressive opposition with organization behind them, a group that knows how to build and run a political machine, then there is zero chance of rescuing the republic. You guys refuse to engage that point and bring it back to if only everybody believed harder and voted. Everybody went way out of their way to get Biden elected in the face of attempts to fix it for republicans, and he did absolutely God damn nothing with it. Then settled us with a doomed to fail candidate, and he was doomed to fail if he stayed in either.

It also takes complicity from the “opposition” party. Even with the loyalty of the legislative and judicial branch their actions should be moderated by the balancing quality in the Democratic process of “turn around is fair play”.

Meaning that you don’t want to do anything that gives grounds for your opposition to copy if they were to get into power. The problem being that the DNC has shown itself to not have a spine, equating tit for tat politics as beneath their dignity.

        fuck right off.

There’s room for real discussion of the democrat’s failings. This in particular did not make it into that cup.

I get what you’re trying to do with constant vitriol aimed at dems around every corner. We’re still going to work to defeat the fascists with or without you.

There is no third party that’s going to win in 2028 or 2030. Ranked choice is great, but we’re still just working on continuing fptp for an election or two. We have immediate problems that need to be dealt with, and intentionally or unintentionally, you’re not helping.

If the Dems had control of the Supreme Court OR the Executive OR Congress, this wouldn’t be happening. They don’t. They hold some culpability for that, but they’re not directly responsible for every shitty thing the nazis do.

There’s room for real discussion of the democrat’s failings. This in particular did not make it into that cup.

Over two decades of thirdway politics has no complicity in creating the situation we find ourselves in?

get what you’re trying to do with constant vitriol aimed at dems around every corner. We’re still going to work to defeat the fascists with or without you.

Ohh yeah… Because one valid complaint is constant vitriol? You can fight that strawman instead of making a valid rebuttal if you want to.

The house willing to vote to fund ice is surely a sign of fighting fascist.

There is no third party that’s going to win in 2028 or 2030. Ranked choice is great, but we’re still just working on continuing fptp for an election or two. We have immediate problems that need to be dealt with, and intentionally or unintentionally, you’re not helping.

When did I say anything about voting for a third party? Who are you arguing with?

Making valid criticism against any party is important… Most importantly your own. The DNC isn’t going to move away from thirdway centrism unless they hear from it from their own voters.

If the Dems had control of the Supreme Court OR the Executive OR Congress, this wouldn’t be happening.

If dems supported progressive candidates instead of centerist they wouldn’t have lost the supreme court or the legislative branch…

They hold some culpability for that, but they’re not directly responsible for every shitty thing the nazis do.

Did I say they hold all the culpability…or are you just arguing against another strawman of your own making again?

Thirdway politics is the reason the Republican party feels emboldened enough to be fascist in the first place. When the common people can’t differentiate between the two parties because both sides are just looking out for the top tax bracket then they are going to only care about punishing scapegoats.

200 NGOs Oppose Biden’s Historic Expansion of ICE Detention System: “Detention should not be about politics.”

ICE records show Biden admin plans could give Trump a head start on deportations

President Biden Signs Anti-Immigrant Spending Bill Reaching Trump-Era Highs

Biden’s Emergency Funding Proposal Seeks $14 Billion for Immigration System From Congress

Tom Homan - Border Czar was originally appointed by Obama

Keep in mind, these democrat moves to bolster ICE were happening while the right was blatantly telegraphing their moves to immediately weaponize ICE once they took power. Project 2025 came out and promised to use ICE to plunder and abuse Americans. Biden and team then spent the next 4 years not only failing to prepare for Trump, but preemptively strengthening the mechanisms Trump would eventually use to carry out project 2025. The democrats are controlled opposition.

Sure, maybe we wouldnt be seeing this intense of immigration enforcement if Kamala were in charge or the dems had SCOTUS, but if she were, she’d be working behind the scenes to ensure the right had all the tools they needed when the time was right.

The democrats are controlled opposition and the American electoral system is kabuki theater. The fascist descent is the only logical conclusion to the American political experiment- which was predicated on the wholesale genocide of Native American Indians and quickly pivoted to enslaving an entire continent.

You realize what the only logical conclusion to your “pragmatic liberal utilitarianism” is, right? I give it 4 years before youre chiding leftists for not voting for dem candidate Ted Cruz as he campaigns against republican candidate Mecha Hitler. Youll still see nothing wrong with that. You will sell out the victims of American Imperialism to buy yourself 4 more years of political waffling - just as you did with Palestinians.

They were working for the people because the people (who voted for Trump) wanted immigration enforcement.

They were representing their people, maybe foolishly. They were making sure there was no valid reason to vote for Trump, thinking that the vote would go logically.

Instead the vote went to propaganda and memes.

        Livid, or lucid?

Either way, there isn’t anyone in the executive with a spine, so the 25th is never going to happen, anyway.

The only way the fascist pedo will be removed is via impeachment and force, or on Jan 20, 2029, but again likely by force. And the only way impeachment would happen is if Dems get a majority in the House (could happen) and exceed 2/3 majority in the Senate which is unlikely to happen.

In my local jail, it can take up to a week to be able to call someone but typically more like 3 days. This is because the phones in the holding cells are often broken, so you need to wait until after bail is set and you go upstairs, and then they charge money to make the calls. Meaning, if you don’t have an account already set up, you’re going to have to wait until someone is willing to show you how to set it up. That’s just for regular criminal issues.

Yeah not really though. They say that answering any question waives that request again. Like what is your name? If you don’t repeat the request for the lawyer it’s waived.

        And police lie.

Believe it or not but most cops aren’t as virtuous as Stabler and don’t have a pretty blonde DA around to challenge them over what they would be willing to do to seek justice. And a “good” attorney can often work around that.

But also, that doesn’t change anything. From skimming the article, it sounds like he wasn’t being interrogated without a lawyer. He was just being left to languish in confinement. Which… is how the us legal system “works”.

This is less “ice are bad” and more “all cops are bastards”

so just shoot them or strangle them in holding. That’s what is going on.

Obviously, this is why you should keep your habeas attorney on retainer at all times. (/s)

Why even talk about any constitution when your government doesn’t care about any laws?

Lets just accept that none of these people know what a person rights are. Even if they do they know they don’t have to honor them. Their denial of basic rights make them criminal but once again no lawful agency will act to stop it. In these circumstances there will eventually be a massacre. One that no lawful agency will act on except to punish those that are not state supported participants.

They want a civil war thinking that they can kill half of us and still have a functioning country.

          For this?

They want a civil war thinking that they can kill half of us and still have a functioning country.

No. We had one back in 1861, and they thought the same thing then too.

You really need to read up on the civil war. Having said that since this is also your first time you need to pick a new meme.

Yeah, you might need to read some of the journals from the soldiers and maybe remember they evolved into the Klansmen now sitting in office. Not saying the articulated, states-rights reasons. I’m talking on the personal level of those who volunteered to fight for the South. Back then, hate for the left (the abolitionists back then) was being peddled to them through things like religion or newspapers (though maybe not as far reaching as like with Twitter) just as it is today, and some joined up to murder the abolitionists.

I have read more than I ever want to about it. What is happening now is nothing like the first civil war. What is happening now is from germany in WWII. Its in their words and its in their actions.
